Zero Race
The Zero Emissions Race was a fun and thrilling event, where three 100% electric vehicles running on renewable energies drove around the world in a record breaking 80 days! The mission was to prove that electric cars are efficient and reliable, and able to circumnavigate the planet across deserts and mountains, and through variable road and weather conditions.
This project was completed on February 28th, 2011, and the participating teams have successfully driven 28000 kms across Europe, Asia and North America and Africa.
The ZERO RACE is the longest and hardest electric car race ever, and it is helping electric cars make world history! The event shows that zero emission vehicles running on renewable energies are technologies for the future that are ready, and reliable already today. With shrinking resources and the impacts of global warming, the ZERO RACE strives to present solutions for a more sustainable future.
